Time Based Arts asked us at Highwind to build a realistic fish, a ‘Red Belted Anthias’ to be exact. We modeled and textured the beautiful fish to perfectly match the reference whilst structuring the asset to TBA’s pipeline.

We had meetings about the scales and we gave TBA a few different options from maps to geo and TBA felt modelled scales would help them drive the realism in the specific way they desired.

We were also given the task of concepting the Red Belted Anthias head to fit on top of the human body. A very fun challenge were more than happy to take on!

Two final assets were handed over, the full body and the fish head for human body, both with their own asset folder including geometry, sculpt and unique 8k texture maps.
